This self-drive expedition in Iceland offers an immersion into the island’s dramatic contrasts and elemental beauty.

Begin in Reykjavík's colourful streets, then explore Snæfellsnes Peninsula's black beaches and iconic Kirkjufell. Drive north to Akureyri, marvel at Goðafoss waterfall, and snowmobile across Arctic wilderness. Traverse eastern fjords to thundering Dettifoss, then south through glacial lagoons and sapphire ice caves. Stand beneath mighty Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. The tour starts in Reykjavík and ends in Reykjavík. So you can arrive into and depart from Keflavík International Airport (KEF).

All travellers require a valid passport to enter Iceland. The passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel. There are no activities scheduled on Day 1 of the trip. So you can arrive anytime. Hotel check in time varies and generally will be around 14:00 pm.

You can depart anytime. Generally, there are no inclusions on the tour on the last day. The hotel check-out time is usually 11 am or 12 noon.

Normally, yes! In some cases if the exact hotels are unavailable for any reason, we'll make sure you're put up in hotels that are equivalent to the original in terms of location and facilities. Rest assured, your stay will be as promised.

Iceland offers a range of vegetarian and vegan options, especially in Reykjavík and larger towns, with restaurants catering to plant-based diets. In more remote areas, choices may be limited, but informing accommodations in advance usually ensures suitable meals are available.

Iceland’s weather is cool, unpredictable, and often windy, with rapid changes between sun, rain, and snow. Summers (June–August) are mild, ranging from 10–15°C (50–59°F), with nearly 24-hour daylight. Fall (September–November) sees cooler temperatures and the return of the Northern Lights, while winters (December–February) are cold (-1 to 4°C / 30–39°F), with short daylight hours and chances of snowstorms. Spring (March–May) gradually warms up, with increasing daylight and blooming landscapes.
