Continue to Saty village and settle in before visiting the serene Kolsay Lake, where you savour a traditional Kazakh dinner. Explore the mystical Kaindy Lake, known for its submerged forest, and experience horseback riding around its shores before returning to Almaty.

Your adventure continues at Big Almaty Lake. Hike through alpine scenery and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Yes, airport transfers are included in this tour. These transfers will be shared with you before your travel.

There are no scheduled activities on the first day, apart from the Kok Tobe Hill Cable Car ride in the evening. The standard hotel check-in time is 2:00 PM, so you can plan your arrival accordingly.

You can depart anytime. Generally, there are no inclusions on the tour on the last day. The hotel check-out time is usually 1100 hours or 1200 hours.

Children under 12 are not allowed on this Jrny. Children above 12 are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Normally, yes! In some cases if the exact hotels are unavailable for any reason, we'll make sure you're put up in hotels or homestays that are equivalent to the original in terms of location and facilities. Rest assured, your stay will be as promised.

Please read through the itinerary in detail to understand the intensity of the activities planned. There are some long walks scheduled. Overall for the tour on a scale from 1 - 5, a fitness level of 3 would be ideal.

Yes, there are a few long drives. The drive from Almaty to Charyn Canyon takes 3 hours, and the journey back from Saty village to Almaty is 4 hours. However, the stunning landscapes make the drives enjoyable.

Vegetarian options will be available, but might be somewhat limited. The same is true for vegan options

We try and cater to other diet restrictions as much as possible. But, we do focus on regional local cuisine. So there will be limitations. Please write to [email protected] with your booking number in the subject line to inform us well in advance of any such restrictions.

Kazakhstan experiences a continental climate with extreme temperature variations between seasons. Summers (June to August) can be hot and dry, particularly in the south and central regions, where temperatures can rise above 35°C (95°F). Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) bring mild and pleasant weather, with blooming landscapes in spring and colourful foliage in autumn. Rainfall is generally low, with the western and southern regions being drier, while the northern areas receive more precipitation.
