About this Jrny

Embark on a journey of discovery with our Assam and Meghalaya JRNY, the second adventure in our Culinary India series, in collaboration with ChefTZac and The Locavore. This expedition is more than just a travel experience; it’s a foray into the heart of North-East India’s unique culinary and cultural landscapes.

Nestled in the lush terrains of North-East India, the trio of Guwahati, Cherrapunji, and Shillong has so much to offer keen travellers, with its diverse terrains, traditional cultures, and its unique culinary heritage. Guwahati, the gateway to the North-East, is a vibrant city on the banks of the river Brahmaputra, bringing together ancient temples and modern urban life.

Cherrapunji, renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth, will impress you with its lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and mystical mist. In stark contrast, Shillong, the ‘Scotland of the East,’ is a charming hill station where you’ll find colonial architecture, serene lakes, and a rich tribal heritage.

These destinations encapsulate the spirit of North-East India, presenting a medley of experiences — from the spiritual heritage of Guwahati to the natural splendour of Cherrapunji and the quaint charm of Shillong. Join us as we delve into the untouched beauty and the lesser-known culinary secrets of this enchanting corner of the country. But be warned, even this journey is just a glimpse into the vast, unexplored richness of North-East India.
