The tour begins and ends in La Paz. You should arrive at El Alto International Airport (Airport code: LPB) and depart from the same airport at the end of your journey.

Most travellers require a valid passport with at least six months of validity beyond the date of return. Visa requirements vary depending on nationality. Indian passport holders require a visa to enter Bolivia and can get a 30 day visa on arrival at La Paz. Fee is USD30-60 at airport. Documents required: passport, photos, hotel reservation and return flights, 6 months bank statement. You can also obtain a visa through the Bolivian embassy or consulate in India. There is a domestic flight in the morning from Uyuni to La Paz. Ensure your international outbound flight is scheduled post 3pm to allow for a comfortable transfer.

For domestic flights, the baggage weight limit of 23 kilos, additional kilos can be paid at the airport.

Please read through the itinerary in detail to understand the intensity of the activities planned. There are some long walks scheduled. Overall for the tour on a scale from 1 - 5, a fitness level of 2 would be ideal.

Yes, there are some long drives during the Uyuni leg, especially through the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve. The journey from the desert back to La Paz is an overnight bus. However, the scenery is spectacular and the drives are broken up with plenty of stops and experiences.

Absolutely, a variety of vegetarian meal options will be available. Vegan options may be limited but available.

Bolivia’s climate varies by region and altitude. In La Paz and Uyuni, temperatures can be cool year-round, especially in the evenings. In the desert, expect warm days and cold nights. Layered clothing is highly recommended. For current conditions, check weather.com shortly before your trip.
