Beginning in Delhi, our adventure takes us north to the serene foothills, making a picturesque stop in the charming town of Rampur. The journey then leads to Tabo, a tranquil village where stunning natural landscapes blend seamlessly with a rich spiritual legacy. A visit to the ancient Ki-Monastery, a gem of Buddhist heritage, adds a profound cultural highlight.

From Tabo, we ascend to Kibber, a high-altitude village perched in the breathtaking Spiti Valley. This serene village becomes our base for exploring the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the few places on Earth where the elusive Snow Leopard roams freely. Over several days, guided treks immerse us in the pristine, snow-clad wilderness, offering spectacular views of the Himalayas and a chance to encounter rare wildlife in their natural habitat.

Disembark at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi (Code: DEL). After completing immigration and collecting your baggage, proceed to the arrival gate. You will then embark on a pre-arranged transfer to your hotel, with assistance from our local representative at the airport.

Tabo to Kibber

After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our drive from Tabo to Kibber, passing through the town of Kaza, the district headquarters of Spiti. Kaza is a lively hub in the summer months, offering various services like ATMs, a petrol pump, shops, and bike rentals. It also houses a tourist information center and a bustling market. However, during winter, most of Kaza remains closed. From here, we’ll continue our journey, making a stop to explore the ancient Ki Monastery, renowned for its beautiful architecture and spiritual significance. After the monastery tour, we will proceed to Kibber Village, where you’ll settle into your Homestay for the next few days. Upon arrival, you’ll meet the team accompanying you during your stay and receive an orientation. Since the upcoming days will involve strenuous trekking at high altitudes, the rest of the day will be dedicated to relaxation. Lunch and dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in Kibber.

The tour starts in Delhi and ends in Delhi. So you should arrive and depart from Indira Gandhi International Airport (Airport code: DEL).

Yes! Many of our travellers arrive solo since our trips provide an opportunity to meet and share experiences with like-minded people. We normally pair up solo travellers for accommodation, but you can request a single room for an additional cost.

Please refer to the daily activities in the itinerary, where the driving distance and duration for each day are given. The longest drive is 8 hours from Rampur to Chandigarh.

Vegetarian options will be available, but might be somewhat limited. The same is true for vegan options.

Spiti Valley, nestled in the Himalayas, experiences extreme weather conditions due to its high-altitude desert terrain. Summers (May to September) are mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), making it the best time to visit. Winters (October to April) are harsh, with temperatures often dropping below -20°C (-4°F), and the region remains largely snow-covered, cutting off access to many areas. The valley’s arid climate ensures minimal rainfall, so it’s best to be prepared for dry and chilly conditions year-round.

The remaining balance needs to be paid in full at least 75 days before the date of travel.
