A Day in Ubud

After breakfast, set out to explore some of Bali’s most revered cultural and natural landmarks. Begin with a visit to Gunung Kawi, an ancient temple complex carved into the cliffs amidst lush rice terraces. Continue to Tirta Empul, a sacred water temple renowned for its holy spring and purification rituals.

Journey further into the highlands to Kintamani, where spectacular views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur await. After lunch, continue through the scenic countryside towards Besakih Temple, Bali’s largest and most important Hindu temple, located on the slopes of Mount Agung, the island’s highest volcano.

Following your visit, return to Ubud and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 5

A day in Gili Islands

Set off this morning from Gili Trawangan for a full-day trip around the Gili Islands. Transfer to the harbour with Cidomo. Embark on a boat, sail across the turquoise waters and breath-taking views as the boat makes its way toward Gili Meno, the least developed of the three Gili islands. Go ashore and climb into a cidomo. Travel down the island’s laneways, passing small eateries and clusters of local houses. Enjoy the quiet rhythm of island life as the horse cart makes its way to a local stall. Stop to sample a refreshing drink and watch the local daily activities.

Continue to the island’s western shores, home to some of the best Gili snorkeling experiences. Grab a mask and snorkel and jump into the warm water to explore the colourful underwater world. Swim above the impressive coral gardens, seeing schools of tropical fish and, with a bit of luck, sea turtles.

At noon continue by boat to Gili Air, where lunch is served at a relaxed beachfront eatery with a strip of white sand beach and the beautiful blue ocean just in front. Relax on the beach, spending the afternoon chilling out and swimming in the clear waters. Feeling relaxed and refreshed, take a boat back to Gili Trawangan and return to your hotel. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing at your hotel.

Upon arrival at Serangan Harbour, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Sanur, a charming coastal town known for its relaxed atmosphere and beachfront promenade. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

There are no activities scheduled for the first day. The standard check-in time at the hotel would be 1400 hrs, and you can plan your arrival accordingly.

You can depart anytime. Generally, there are no inclusions on the tour on the last day. The hotel check-out time is usually 1100 hours or 1200 hours.

There are no long road journeys. Transfers are comfortable and include a fast boat ride between Bali and Gili Trawangan. Local sightseeing drives are scenic and manageable.

Bali enjoys a tropical climate throughout the year, with warm temperatures ranging between 24°C and 32°C. The island experiences a dry season and a wet season, but weather conditions can vary depending on the region and time of travel. Coastal areas are generally warm and humid, while Ubud and the central highlands tend to be slightly cooler, especially in the mornings and evenings. Lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and a light rain jacket are recommended for travel at any time of year.
