The Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek is one of the world's most iconic and unforgettable trekking experiences. A legendary adventure that takes you deep into the heart of the Himalayas, offering breathtaking views and a journey through some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on earth.
This jrny is led by Phunjo Lama, record-breaking mountaineer, Guinness World Record holder and the fastest woman ever to summit Mt. Everest. A few of Phunjo's other accomplishments include summits on Cho Oyu, Denali, Aconcagua, Manaslu, Ama Dablam, and Lobuche mountains.
Our adventure begins in Kathmandu, with a flight to Lukla over snow-capped mountains. From Lukla, trekkers make their way to the small village of Monjo. Next, we hike to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant gateway to the Everest region where we may catch our first glimpse of Mt. Everest. After some rest and recovery, the journey continues over the next few days to Pangboche and Dingboche, where trekkers slowly acclimatise to the altitude and enjoy stunning views.
Led by Phunjo’s expertise and enthusiasm, we make our way to Lobuche, where we take a pause to admire the panoramic views of Mt. Pumori and other Everest peaks. Up next is the highlight of our journey — a day-long trek to EBC. We begin by trekking up the valley with views of icy-glacial ponds and icebergs. A short descent after the rocky dunes leads to Gorakshep, once the original Everest Base Camp. We stand at the foot of Mount Everest, surrounded by glaciers and the towering peaks of the Himalayas.
Over the next few days, we head back from Gorekshep to Lukla, via Pheriche, Kyangoma, Phakding and Namche, each day offering breathtaking views and diverse landscapes. The trek concludes with a flight back to Kathmandu, wrapping up an unforgettable adventure.
The opportunity to push yourself in the mountains alongside Phunjo Lama with her expertise, warmth and enthusiasm make the Everest Base Camp Trek a rewarding once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
